Xypher Code — Free Autonomous AI Coding Agent for VS Code

Writes code from natural language across multiple files, runs terminal commands, automates a real browser, and reviews its own work — with inline autocomplete and five agent modes, right inside your editor.

From prompt to merged code

Three steps. No account, no API key, no config files.

1Install

One command

Grab it from the VS Code Marketplace — no account, no credit card, no API key.

$ ext install XpertSphere.xypher
2Ask

Talk to your codebase

Chat in the side panel, select code and right-click, or just keep typing — inline autocomplete joins in.

Ctrl+Shift+A — focus chat input
3Approve

Review every change

Edits arrive as a diff you accept or reject file by file. Flip on auto-approve when you trust the run.

Agent Manager

Run several agents at once — in git worktrees

Agent Manager gives every session its own isolated worktree and branch, so parallel agents never fight over the same files. Each worktree gets its own terminal and diff panel — auto-named branches, keyboard shortcuts for every jump, and an Open Pull Request button when the work is done.

Features

One extension, the whole workflow

Autocomplete, multi-file edits with reviewable diffs, terminal and browser control, skills, and image generation — all inside the VS Code you already use. No API key, no extra subscriptions.

Inline autocomplete

Ghost-text suggestions as you type — accept with Tab, jump straight to the next pending edit, or dismiss. Chat gets autocomplete too.

Suggested edit
const limiter = new TokenBucket(60, Duration.minute)
Tab to accept · jump to next edit · dismiss

Terminal, wired in

The agent runs builds and tests in your integrated terminal. Right-click any command to fix it, explain it, or generate the next one — and pull terminal output into chat as context.

$ playwright test tests/e2e --headed
✓ 12 passed · 4.8s
Fix This Command · Explain This Command

Browser automation (Playwright)

Let the agent drive a real Chrome window — clicks, forms, navigation, screenshots. Watch it live or run headless; use your system Chrome if you prefer.

Skills & CLAUDE.md import

Bring your Claude Code CLAUDE.md instructions and skills with you, load SKILL.md skills from your project, and install more from the in-extension Marketplace.
